Oh Snow in Oslo!

It was not New York State nor Thompson Pass, but it's definitely one of the snowiest cities in the world. Our first encounter with snow happened in the first quarter of 2010 in Oslo, Norway. Fluffy snow, powder snow, sticky snow..whatever one may call it, it was an experience worth shivering every time recalled.

One of Norway's most visited tourist attractions, the Holmenkollen Ski Jump- rebuilt for the 2011 Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo. The new state-of-the-art ski jump features the world's oldest Ski Museum and an observation deck with panoramic views of the city. If I remember it accurately, we took atleast 20 shots of souvenir pics in here, just like a true blue tourists.

This was taken just across our Philippine Embassy in Oslo, after our courtesy call with our Honorable Ambassador.

Fram Museum - The Polar Ship Fram. Fram is the strongest wooden ship ever built and still holds the records for sailing farthest north and farthest south. At the Fram Museum you can come on board the ship and see how the crew and their dogs lived and managed to survive in the coldest and most dangerous places on earth - the Arctic and the Antarctic.

Luis enjoyed the snow so much he even wished to live here :)

More pics coming out soon.....
